Former Parler CEO John Matze said in a new interview that he didn’t want to work directly with former President Donald Trump while still with the social media company. “I didn’t like the idea of working with Trump, because he might have bullied people inside the company to do what he wanted,” Matze said on “Axios” on HBO. “But I was worried that if we didn’t sign the deal, he might have been vengeful and told his followers to leave Parler.” Trump never appeared to join Parler before it was removed from Amazon Web Services in January, shortly after Parler showed an explosion of growth due to Twitter banning Trump and other conservatives.
