In an unexpected move, the Department of Justice (DOJ) gave notice to a federal court on Feb. 3 that it is dropping a discrimination lawsuit it filed only a few months ago. In a two-sentence notice, DOJ described its decision as a “voluntary dismissal” of the litigation it filed in October 2020 following a two-year investigation.
